Neurorehabilitation and Brain Research Group

The Neurorehabilitation and Brain Research Group is a research group focused on neurorehabilitation and brain research, based in València, Spain. The group assesses and promotes the recovery of brain function after injuries and examines the underlying mechanisms of various brain processes. Its main research areas include the assessment and treatment of motor, cognitive, and behavioral skills that are often impaired following brain injuries, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of consciousness. The group's research activities involve multimodal stimulation techniques, including virtual reality and non-invasive brain stimulation, as well as biomedical signal registration and processing of electrical and hemodynamic brain activity. Additionally, the group utilizes artificial intelligence methods, such as machine learning and deep learning. It is part of the Institute for Human-Centered Technology Research at the Universitat Politècnica de València and collaborates with various national and international entities.
